RAY & AL (Rhéal & Rhéaume)

Montreal bank-robbers brothers Rhéal and Rhéaume Larivière move down the 401, figuring Toronto’s financial institutions will be easier pickings than the over-robbed Quebec banks. Several failed attempts and an accidental kidnapping later, the brothers find themselves “poissons out of water”, holed up in a dingy motel run by immigrants with their newfound hostage, Liz, who holds strong opinions about “foreigners”. The boys realize that if they want to knock over Bay Street’s crown jewel, the Bank of Montreal, they’ll need to assemble a gang that reflects Canada’s new multicultural reality. A comedy about multi-cultuturalism and robbing banks in two official languages.
