Festival Man is a panegyric to the power of music to change people from the inside out, a philosophical, often absurd story about artistic struggle. Here is a picaresque tale of inspired, heroic deceit, incompetence and – just possibly – triumph, centered on Campbell Ouiniette, music talent agent, equal parts bullshit and inspiration as he careens from one bad choice to the next at a music festival he hopes will he his redemption professionally and in the eyes of Mary Alice, who may or may not be pregnant with his child.
Cam’s journey is a saga of vengeful ex-clients, empty liquor bottles, bruised egos, broken hearts and obliterated dreams, as he attempts to reconcile his life and his art and maybe, just maybe, become a baby daddy.
